OVERVIEW AND QUALIFICATIONS
This is an introductory course that is a non-certification program. The object is to introduce non-divers to scuba diving. Participants scuba dive under closely controlled conditions in the Zero Gravity diving pool. Instruction will be limited to the knowledge and skills needed to dive within these limitations. At any point during the program, participants may choose to convert to the NAUI Open Water Scuba Diver course. Students signing up for the NAUI Open Water Course within two months of their try-out date will have the R200, payable for the try-out, deducted from their course fee.
Breakdown of what to expect:
- The course is very practical, focusing on breathing under water and use of basic equipment, which will be provided for use by the school.
- One Pool session to experience scuba diving in a safe and controlled environment.
- The only skills required for this course are an understanding of equalisation and breathing.
Includes:
- All scuba equipment
- A fully qualified diving instructor or dive master.
What’s next?
Once you confirm your interest by completing the required documentation, pay the required fee, your pool session will be scheduled, and an instructor appointed.
The instructor will hold a briefing with you before the pool session and a debriefing after the pool session.
