OVERVIEW AND QUALIFICATIONS

This course meets the requirements for ISO Level 2- autonomous diver certification. It provides the fundamental knowledge and skills to scuba dive once your open water training is completed. Upon successful completion of this course, graduates are considered competent to engage in open water diving activities without supervision. This is provided that the diving environment, activities, areas dived, and equipment approximate those of training.

Breakdown of what to expect:

  • The course can be presented in one of three ways, depending on the student’s preference:
    1.± five classroom lectures
    2. e-learning using the naui.org website
    3. Combination of e-learning and classroom lectures.
  • ± five pool sessions to learn and master specific diving skills that are required to complete the course.
  • A minimum of 4 qualification dives. These dives can be divided between an inland site and the coast. However, to properly qualify as an open water scuba diver, the student will require sea dives.
  • The student will be required to complete a formal exam.
  • The duration of the course and dates of the pool sessions will be determined by the studentsduring their first meeting and a course calendar will be established.

Includes:

  • NAUI activation code for the Open Water Scuba Diver electronic learning material.
  • Pool Sessions – 5 confined water dives in the 0 Gravity pool.
  • Final Exam – Either online or Classroom
  • Air Fills – (while on the 0 Gravity premises)
  • Rental of equipment
  • Credential Card – (Plastic & Electronic)
  • Registration – On the NAUI core website and the NAUI mobile app
  • Course T-shirt

Excludes:

  • Entrance to Bass Lake or Miracle Water
  • Cost of qualifying weekend at the coast.
  • Air Fills (while away from 0 Gravity premises)

What’s next?

Once you confirm your interest and payment is made, a Meet & Greet meeting will be arranged where you will meet your instructor. They will introduce you to open diving scuba, set up the course calendar and activate your electronic course material.
